Joy Lynne Smith
12/21/1965 - 01/24/2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, Joy Lynne Smith, who left this world on January 24, 2024. She was born December 21, 1965, a beacon of warmth and love to all who knew her.
As a mother, she was an amazing confidante and friend. She was the matriarch and truly the glue that held the family together. She created a home that was filled with love and her door was always open. She was a dedicated mother who will be remembered for her unwavering support of her children.
Her joy was contagious, especially when it came to her favorite time of year: Christmas. She embraced the holiday with unmatched enthusiasm, creating magical memories that will be cherished and remembered for years to come.
Joy also had a green thumb and spent a considerable amount of time planting flowers and tending to her gardens that she was immensely proud of.
Her love extended to her furry companions, her dogs, who were much more than just pets, they were cherished members of the family. She found happiness in their company and their loyalty was a testament to the love she gave and received.
She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Justice and her husband, Bradley Smith. Joy leaves behind her mother, Judy Walburn and her children, Kandice Alexander, Louis Alexander, Caleb Smith, Haley (Justin) Latture, and Quentin (Amanda) Smith. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Leighla Kinderman and Ximara Smith.
Joy will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness, and the love she showed to her friends and her family. While we will mourn her passing and will miss her beyond measure, we celebrate the rich tapestry of a life well-lived that was so full of love and laughter.
Services will be held at Hill Funeral Home in Westerville, Ohio on January 29th, from 1-3PM.
