Condolence: I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Brad at Nationwide Children's Hospital for a few years. He was such a talented photographer and great colleague. He made the job fun. His smile and laugh was contagious and I so enjoyed his mischievous personality . He will be missed. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family. May you find peace during this time of loss.

Condolence From: Joy Petko, Radnor, Ohio
Condolence: I grew up with Brad and his siblings, and always remembered vividly the day he told me he wanted to be a medical photographer during his senior year of school. I didn't know that could be a career and wondered how difficult it would be to get into the field.

Brad not only made a career of medical photography but told peoples stories and gave them hope through his lens. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Praying for his family to find comfort in this time of sorrow.

Condolence From: Jenni Balcom, Mount Vernon, Ohio
Condolence: Brad’s creative passion, talents and tremendous sense of humor were enough to fill your soul. Brad was my first mentor, early in my career at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. I worked with him on “Cute Kid” photo shoots, groundbreakings and new parking garage openings. We shared work and personal stories and struggles, as well as many laughs, memories and the tragic sudden loss of our fathers, both passing away far too young. I still have and will always cherish the photo he took of me and my parents at my first official event. He framed and presented to me after my father’s passing — it helped mend my broken heart. Brad will be forever fondly remembered and always deeply missed.

Condolence From: Pam Barber, Pickerington, Ohio
Condolence: I am heartsick to hear of Brad's passing. I so enjoyed working with him for many years at Nationwide Children's; he was such a talented photographer and he was so warm and compassionate with patients and their families. I loved his sense of humor and often had the pleasure of 'shooting the breeze' with him when he'd stop by my office just to chat. My deepest sympathies to his family and to all who -- like me -- are grateful to have known him. I pray for God's peace at this heartbreaking loss.
