Obituary for Matthew Scott

Matthew Charles Scott, age 32, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 20, He was born in Columbus on July 5, 1990.  He was the son of Charles and Ruth Scott of Westerville.

 

Matt was a 2009 graduate of Westerville North High School and a 2013 college graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  He was a member of the Acacia Fraternity.  Matt was employed by Nationwide Insurance Company.  

 

Matt was an avid Penn State sports follower, a Pittsburgh Penguins fan, and a Cleveland Browns fan. Matt made friends easily and was a great listener and caring man.  He was loved by so many friends.  

 

Matt is survived by his parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and his many friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

 

The funeral service will be held Monday, March 27, at the Hill Funeral Home in Westerville.

Viewing will be at 11:30 followed by the funeral at 1:00. Interment will be at Blendon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the charity of one's choice.
