Jacquelyn M. Hoogeveen died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on January 10th, 2023.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio on September 24, 1949, Jacquelyn lived the way that everyone knew her; full of love and energy. Many knew her as an advocate for those with disabilities, a PSR and substitute teacher, a caring neighbor, and someone who was always there when you needed her. She enjoyed being an active part of her children’s and grandchildren’s lives, attending cross-country meets, concerts, hockey games, shopping trips, and vacations.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years Jack Hoogeveen, her daughters Kate Hoogeveen, Emily (Kerry) Kemp, Caroline (Ben) Murphy, Tess (Ryan) O’Rourke, her son, Eric (Monica) Hoogeveen, her sister, Lynn (Randy)Patton and family, and her grandchildren, Eliot Kemp, Norah Kemp, Liam Hoogeveen, Olivia Hoogeveen, and two that are on their way.
She is proceeded in death by her parents John and Marian Gibala.
A mass of Catholic Burial will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Westerville, Ohio on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 10:30 AM. The family will greet those in attendance after the service.
