Family will receive friends at Hill Funeral Home, 220 S. State Street in Westerville starting at 5:00 PM on Wednesday December, 21 2022 with a service at 6:00 PM.

 

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations towards his funeral expenses.

Pat was such a good friend to me when I was raising my son. We could laugh together and cry together. I was always welcomed into his home as part of the family.

IN LOVING MEMORY

 

Patrick T. McGonigle was born on October 13, 1957 to Mary Lou Vance & Francis McGonigle in La Rochelle France Army base.  He began his eternal life on Sunday, December 18, 2022 surrounded in love by his wife and children.

 

He is survived by his loving wife, Aleza McGonigle, his children, Angella (Ben) Thompson, Christie (Tim) Thompson, Tara McGonigle (Nezzy), Regina McGonigle, his grandchildren Michaella (Zach) Voit, Isaiah Thompson, Noah Thompson, Raniyah Brown, Jaimin Brown, Alex Thompson, his great-grandchildren, his brothers Francis (Ruby) McGonigle, Richard (Janet) McGonigle, Robert (Jennifer) McGonigle, Kevin (Kelly) McGonigle, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Preceded in death by his parents & 2 brothers Charles McGonigle & Nicholas McGonigle.

 

Patrick was known as a tenacious, charismatic, caring, funny, history buff who loved to spend time with his family playing games, traveling with his grandchildren exploring histroical sites, and spending time with his wife and their fur babies.  He never knew a stranger and believed in helping those in need.  Dad made a lasting impression to all who met him and was proud to serve his country as a US Marine.  He faced tremendous medical challenges over the years with a fierce fight, strength, and positive attitude that we all can aspire to.

 

No matter family or friend you will be GREATLY missed.

 

Daddy you helped raise 4 strong women who will carry on your legacy.
