Family will receive friends Tuesday, December 20, 2022, 4:00 to 6:00 PM at HILL FUNERAL Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at St. Paul Catholic Church followed by interment at Blendon Central Cemetery. 

So sorry to hear about the passing of John. I remember him bowling on my team at the Columbus Square bowling palace.
I remember him watching my kids. I remember going to westerville south football games. I remember going to the westerville senior centers and he loved playing cards. I remember him at basketball games. I remember his family.
He will not be forgotten. Enjoy with family members and keep watching people down on earth.

John Michael Antle (Captain), 70, lifelong resident of Westerville, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.

John was born in Columbus, Ohio, October 17, 1952. He was preceded in death by father, Harold Antle. He is survived by mother, Virginia (McBee) Antle. He was the most loving big brother to Doug Antle, Lee (Linda Cowgill) Antle and Laura (Thomas) Giere. Nieces, Aleena, Natalie, Katie and nephew, Thomas. Grandnieces, Rielyn, Amelia, Norah and Willa Mae. Grandnephews Grayson, Henry and Holden.

John graduated from Westerville High School in 1972. Many of his classmates became life long friends. He always looked forward to, and never missed, a class reunion. He was blessed to have many friends and family throughout his life.

John worked at the Otterbein University Campus Center, Westerville, early in his life. He then served as a team manager “coach” for the Saint Francis DeSales High School football team, Columbus, for twenty years.

He loved to throw horseshoes, was an avid bowler, euchre player and enjoyed watching almost all sports. He was a big fan of Ohio State and Notre Dame football.

In 2021, he was awarded the Kindness Hero award by Neighbor 2 Neighbor, Westerville. He was known as “The Waving Man” as he would sit out in the driveway of his residence and wave for hours to every passerby. The same year, he was also recognized as Volunteer of the Year by Recreation Unlimited Foundation.John Antle, 70, lifelong resident of Westerville passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
