Condolence: A warm, inviting, and charming man. I enjoyed our coffee and breakfast meetings at Bob Evans. We talked a little business and a lot of life. A wonderful family man who I'll remember fondly.

Condolence From: Jim Marshall, Columbus, Ohio
Condolence: I’m so sorry to hear of Mitch’s passing. We hadn’t seen much of each other after my leaving regular Rotary meetings. I was fortunate to work with him at Cherrington Elementary on the I Can Program many years ago. While reading to kindergartners and later to 2nd graders, and interacting with them, I came to understand how warm and caring Mitch was. Thank you my friend for letting me share that small part of your journey with you. Godspeed Mitch.

Condolence From: Dee and Teddy Snyder, Plain City, OH
Condolence: Teddy and I both are so sorry for your loss.
Mitch was a great man and I felt like we were friends in the short time I knew him. Our early AM accounting phone calls (and by early I mean 5-6 AM LOL) kept me sane during all the tough times we were all experiencing during the beginning of Covid. He taught me many things about business and I respected him so much.

We truly miss him.

Prayers for you all during this time. God Bless!

Dee

Condolence From: Ronald Shankman, Westerville, Ohio
Condolence: I could not believe it when I saw Mitch's obituary in the Dispatch today. I knew Mitch for over 40 years back to the days when we coached soccer in WASA's first years. We were good friends and also fellow CPAs. He was such a great guy. I will miss him very much.

His loss will be felt by all those who knew him.

Condolence: To the family of Mitch, you are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. My primary relationship with Mitch was through Rotary but our friendship extended in to the business world as well. In all instances he placed his clients and others first and was very professional. Condolence From: David Taylor ( Ryan’s father), Columbus, Ohio
Condolence: Dear Potterf Family,
I remember Mitch well as both of our sons were wrestlers at Westerville North. He was truly involved in supporting the team and his family “ donated” their home for an annual holiday greenery fundraising.
We had numerous conversations through the years and I enjoyed our interactions.
My deepest sympathy to each of you.

Condolence From: James Flaherty, Westerville, Ohio
Condolence: Our condolences to Carla, Kim and Mitch and family. Mitch, along with Jim Bivens, Art Covan, Jack Pietila and others from the Westerville Noon Rotary, created an opportunity in Westerville for many more individuals to join Rotary, become leaders, grow our businesses and stretch ourselves to volunteer in service to others here and around the world. He chartered the Westerville Sunrise Rotary Club with about 43 members and guided us through creation of our Foundation and putting in motion the paperwork to provide an open dialogue for committees to try new projects with little "red tape". He was a caring individual, a disciple of Christ and always had time to meet one on one to get to know each person he encountered. Rest in peace Mitch.

Condolence: Dear Mrs. Potterf, Mitch, and Kim,
I am so sorry for your loss. I was good friends with Kim in high school and visited your home often. I remember Mr. Potterf as a calm, wise and stable man. While my home life felt unstable, Mr. Potterf always made me feel welcome and accepted. He was simply a breath of fresh air to my teenage self. Thank you Mr. Potterf for being a beacon of warmth in my life. You will be missed. And thank you Mrs. Potterf, Mitch, and Kim for sharing him with me! Bless you all.
