Family will receive friends at Hill Funeral Home, 220 S State St, Westerville, OH on Wednesday Nov.16th from 9:30-11am, with service immediately following at 11:00. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Park, Rt. 23, Lewis Center, OH.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Aunt Kathy. What a long and productive life of service she was blessed to have. Todd and I pray that you will find comfort in the memories - the life you shared with her and Uncle Harold. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
At your request a donation is being made to our local Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank in Aunt Kathy's memory.

Margaret Kathleen West, aged 97 years, graduated eternally on Nov.8th, 2022. More often referred to as Kathy or “Nan”, she was born on June 3rd, 1925 to Glenn and Artie Whipkey in Green County, PA and had resided in Westerville, OH since 1959. Survived by children, Diane Kinser of Westerville, Jerry (Kath) West of Laurelville, Keith (Brenda) West of Crown City, OH, Barbara (Gordon) Rood of Westerville, Ron (Jodelle) West of Centerburg, Kathy Born, MI, brother Reed Whipkey and brother-in-law, Raymond West. She was a loving mother to six, a cherished “Nan” to 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3+ great-great grandchildren, and countless kids she fostered, baby-sat for, and loved over the years. As a life-long Christian, she retired in 1987 after 28 years as a nursing assistant and devoted many years after that to caring for children and cooking for the neighbors. God gifted her with a tender heart and she always gave her time, care and love unselfishly to others. She is preceded in death by husband Harold, grandson H.G.West, brothers Bob and Harold, sister Mary Marie Shriver, special niece Penny Sergent and, most recently, her son-in-law Van Kinser.
