Obituary for Roger Lavelle

LAVELLE Sr. Roger K. (1941-2022), of Westerville, OH.

Survived by loving wife of 59 years, Sue E. (nee Armstrong, Huron, OH), loving father of Roger Jr. (Kelly), Beth S. (Dennis M.) O’Reilly, Jacob (Monica) Lavelle ; grandfather of Patrick, Garrett, Lindsey, Brenna, Carrigan, Justin, Nicolas, Carter, and Quinn. Son of deceased Kenneth V. and Lucille J. Lavelle of Lakewood, OH. Brother of Kay L. Hutkay, Brooklyn, OH and deceased brother Thomas W. Several cousins, nephews and nieces.

Graduate of the Lakewood, OH Public Schools, Culver Naval Academy, Kent State University and The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Work included F. E. Zeis F.H. Lakewood, managed the D.B. Johnson F.H. in Hudson, OH. Moved to Wisconsin and was employed by Schering-Plough pharmaceutical before returning to Ohio.

Retired from the W. B. Saunders Company, medical publishing in 1996 as the Northern Regional Sales Manager. With additional employment with the Westerville City Schools. Member of F.A.M. Lodge # 510, Hudson, OH for over 50 years. 

Calling hours will be at Hill Funeral Home 220 S. State St., Westerville on Monday October 10th, 2022 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. A private graveside service will take place at Pioneer Cemetery.
