Obituary for Tanya Cummings

Tanya (McCune) Cummings, 55 of Mt. Vernon passed away peacefully April 17, 2015 surrounded by loving family. She was born in Hilliard, Ohio to the late Russell McCune (Nina McCune) and Patricia Dyer Hill. Tanya went to Hilliard High School and COJVS, and worked in the field of graphic arts until 1996 when she left to raise her children. She will be sadly missed by her husband, David Cummings (formerly of Columbus, Ohio); children, Jason (Candi), Jared (Christina); sisters, Cheryl (Jeff) Glover, Chris McCune, Tina (Donnie) Mayle, Tracy (Robert) Leimenstoll, Darin (Joe) Gerst, Toni Smith (deceased); grandchildren, Jordan, Julia, Brody, Ellie, Blake, Beckett; uncle Don (Caroline) Dyer and many nieces and nephews. Tanya and her family are eternally grateful to God for the precious time she spent on earth. Special thanks to Dr. Beed and her office staff who helped give us 21 extra years to enjoy Tanya’s wit and sense of humor and the determination she had to live her life to the fullest. Thanks also to the hospice care we received at home from Kindred at Home Hospice. Tanya will be remembered as a fighter who was kind, compassionate, fun-loving and adored by everyone who knew her. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. State St., Westerville where services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery. Friends may contribute in her memory to Kindred at Home Hospice in her memory.
