Emma McDonough, age 99, passed away on September 1, 2022 at her home at The Village of Westerville Retirement Center, surrounded by her family, after a long struggle with Azheimer's.  She is survived by her son Ken (Mary Jane) McDonough and her three granddaughters, Erin (Josh) Flory, Kate (Nate) Duncan, Kelly (Kyle) Blakely and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Howard McDonough, her husband of 56 years, her brother Phillip (Tim) and her parents.  Emma was a wonderful wife and mother, school secretary and librarian.  She volunteered at St. Ann's Hospital and in Mary Jane's kindergarten class at Huber Ridge Elementary school for many years.  She was a faithful member of Central College Presbyterian Church and Presbyterian Women.  Her family would like to thank all the staff at The Village and ProMedica Hospice for the excellent care and compassion she received. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central College Church Foundation (scholarship fund), Central College Presbyterian Women, or to the Alzheimer's Association.  A time for visitation will be held at Hill Funeral Home in Westerville on Friday Sept. 9th from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at Central College Presbyterian Church on Saturday Sept. 10th at 11:00, with interment immediately following at Blendon Central Cemetery.  Pastors David Redding and Malcolm Davis officiating.
