Obituary for Anne Olga Farina Tinsley

Anne Olga Farina Tinsley 1923-2015

Anne Olga Farina Tinsley

08/12/1923 - 04/10/2015

“Never a dull moment” Annie Olga, finally went home to God, Bob, Sweetheart and her crazy Italian family on April 10, 2015. Born on Aug.12, 1923 Annie made an unforgettable impression in every aspect of her long and lively life. Mom lived on her own terms and fought old age and losing any control of her life, to the fullest. Strangers, nursing home staff, family, friends and a multitude of pets were witness to her unsolicited suggestions, critiques and compliments. Never lost for words, no one ever walked away from Annie without some interesting addition to their life. Though being a phenomenal cook, up for action at the crack of dawn, constantly feeding animals for control and delight, and trying to make sure the world and people around her were going according to her plan, were all curtailed by her stroke 8 years ago but Annie never stop fighting to get it all back. Mercifully, her mind allowed her to often forget the change in circumstances and she eventually became a calmer, gentler soul who appreciated what God had left for her to love and enjoy. Preceded by the love of her life, Bob, could have been a better ex-husband of 32 years, Phil Tinsley, her just as colorful Italian parents, brothers, and sister Mary. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Rutan, sons David and Phillip Tinsley Jr., grandchildren, Jamie, John, Lindsey Rutan , Amy and Spencer Tinsley and sister Edie Grosso. Though on occasions we simply had to shake our heads, Olga will always be adored, loved and forever in our hearts and minds. As time goes by, we will remember with less tears and more laughs on what a ride! Private services and in lieu of flowers, donations to Heartland Hospice would be appreciated.
