Obituary for Emery Shepard

Emery Keith Shepard age 88 went to be with the Lord on Sunday July 17th 2022.  He was born in Johnson City Kansas on November 26th 1933 to Esther May Hess and Oscar Sherman Shepard. 

He graduated from Satanta High School in Kansas.  He played football, basketball and ran track in high school and college.  Married his high school sweetheart Donna Louise Sunderland in 1953, they were married for 68 years.  Emery attended Texas Tech, Garden City Junior College and Witchita State University, majoring in geology.  He worked at Carcon Black which later became known as Ashland. 

Emery enjoyed woodworking, garage saling and lapidary.  His absolute favorite past time was doing anything with his family. 

Preceded in death by his parents.  Survived by his wife Donna Shepard, (sisters) Dolores Patrick and Lavonne Ray, (son) Mickey Shepard, (daughter) Jana Shepherd, (grandkids) Amie Kauff, Heidi Shepard, Christina Tedder and Keith Shepard, (great grandkids) AsiaAnn Shepard-Baer, Kaiden Wolfe, Jace Wolfe, Jasmine Shepard, Caitlynn Tedder, Colton Kauff, Mallory Kauff and Kira Kauff.
