Obituary for Betty Adler

Betty Adler 1927-2022

Betty Adler

11/23/1927 - 06/07/2022

Betty Adler, 94, of Westerville passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. She is survived by son Ed, daughter Debbie, grandson Jack Adler, and many nieces and nephews.   Betty was the daughter of the late William and Blanche Conrad and was preceded in death by her brother William (“Sonny”) Conrad and her sister Jean House.

Betty loved being a mother, a sister, a daughter, and Jack’s “Grammy.”  She was proud of her work as a registered nurse.  Betty was an active volunteer in adult literacy and senior safe driving.  She supported Inniswood Metro Gardens which she visited often.  She was an avid reader, so much so that the library came to her!  On Saturdays in the fall you’d hear her cheering on her Ohio State Buckeyes.

Betty loved her Central College Presbyterian Church.  She was a devoted parishioner, teacher, mentor, and friend.  She blessed many through her ministries at CCPC.  Betty served as a ruling elder for two three-year terms and was the chairperson of The Adult Education Committee for eight years.  She was active in Positive Christian Singles and taught the Adult Singles Sunday school class.  She was active in CCPC Presbyterian Women as a member of Mary Circle.  In 1998 she received the Presbyterian Women Honorary Life Membership.  In 2003 Betty received the Woman of Faith award from Presbyterian Women of the Presbytery of Scioto Valley.  She served on the Mission Committee, Adult Library Committee, and Central College Friends committees. She was a member of the Faith Builders Sunday Adult Class and was a Friendly Visitor for a number of years.  Her faith in Christ was important to her and she served Him faithfully.

Betty’s cheerful attitude, thoughtful concern, nurturing nature, and beautiful smile will be missed by everyone.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 16 at Central College Presbyterian Church.  A luncheon will be served at the church following the celebration.

Memorial donations may be made to the Presbyterian Women’s Ministry, Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 So. Sunbury Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081.
