Obituary for Constance Sheets

Constance Sheets 1947-2022

Constance Sheets

05/07/1947 - 02/16/2022

Constance Jean Sheets was called home on February 16, 2022. She was born to Edward Henry and Harriet Geneva Dick (née Resch) on May 7, 1947, in Marietta, Ohio. She was the middle child of seven (boy, girl, boy, girl, boy, girl, boy).

Constance graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Toledo, Ohio in 1965. As a wife and mother of four, she began to further her education the same year she had her last child. She received her RN from Columbus Technical Institute in 1980.

She started her nursing career at Mount Carmel West and Doctors Hospital North in the nursery and NICU. While she loved caring for babies, she further enjoyed spending the rest of her career in psychiatric nursing at Riverside Hospital, Harding Hospital, Southeast, Inc., Ohio Reformatory for Women, and Nationwide Health.

Constance is preceded in death by her parents, and her two brothers Edward Dick and Michael Dick. She is survived by her siblings William (Margaret) Dick, Susan (Richard) Stradley, James (Donna) Dick, and Barbara (Michael) Cunningham; her children Randall Sheets II, Todd (Wendy) Sheets, David Sheets, and Karen (Eric) Clum; many beloved nieces and nephews, and her grandchildren Lindsey, Olivia, Emery, Laikyn, and one on the way.

She had an infectious smile and beautiful singing voice. She was raised Catholic and engaged in church choir and bell choir at Saint Cecilia. Constance could also be heard singing her praises at Xenos Christian Fellowship, where she most recently attended.

She loved animals and Ohio sports. A perfect day for her involved quality time with her family, and watching the Buckeyes, Browns, or Indians. She will be fondly remembered for her deep love for her family and her comforting words of wisdom.
