Condolences

Condolence From: Bridget Rochon, Bradenton, Florida
Condolence: I remember the time (about 40-45 years ago), my parents (Bob & Helen Rochon), my younger two sisters (Janet & Sharon), and I visited Ed and Judie for a weekend. David was about 1-2 years old and was eating meals in his high chair. As children, we were very excited about dessert, but couldn’t say the word “dessert” in David’s presence, because he refused to finish his meal and would throw a tantrum until he received his dessert. So, the code word for “dessert” was “garbage”. All of us kids would ask about the garbage and David had no idea what we were talking about! He ate his meal, while the rest of us were looking forward to dessert. As a child, I thought it was so cool that we were in the know on the Rochon family code.

Also, during this weekend trip, Ed and Judie had other adult relatives over on Saturday night. Judie played the piano and sang, while the others sang along. Us kids had a great time (probably downstairs) playing because we could be as loud as we wanted and the adults didn’t hear us! I still have very found memories of that weekend and of Judie

Condolence From: Steve & MaryBeth Pifer, Lansing, MI
Condolence: Ed and family… our sincere condolences to all of you… Judie’s passing is a loss to her family, her friends and her students through the many years. She made an impact on many people’s lives through her teachings, her musical talents and her passion for people. She lived a great life and quite honestly, she’s probably the only person that could keep Ed in line! ,)) Our loss is a gift to the Heavens above where we all hope to be at some point, free of any pain and suffering. Judie will certainly be smiling as she watches over all of us. Peace and love to the Rochon family…

Condolence From: Larry & Carol Musser, Venice, Florida
Condolence: Carol and I would like to send our sympathy to Ed and family. We enjoyed many years of friendship together, beginning when Ed and I were working for the ASU Group. Our relationship went beyond simply being business partners. We enjoyed many social gatherings together, and all 4 of us rooted for Michigan, especially when they were playing you know who. Carol and I both enjoyed Judy’s wit and humor, and greatly admired her Christian faith. She and her family are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. God Bless.

Condolence From: Tim and Kim Irish Allard, Portage, MI
Condolence: First, to my Uncle Ed. Kim and I want to let you know we are so sorry for your loss. You and Aunt Judie and such a special love. We continue to keep you and Aunt Judie in our prayers. My Aunt Judie was a huge inspiration to me and my career choice. I became a teacher because of her encouragement. She saw something in me that I didn't see in myself. My fondest memories include eating all the green olives and bacon I wanted when I was at her house. She always helped me tune my guitar and would play the piano whenever I requested a song. We had some great times golfing too. Lastly, I followed in her footsteps in choosing CMU as my first undergrad college! Fire Up Chips. Kim and I loved talking teaching stories with her and we will miss her very much. Say hi to my mom, Aunt Judie. Love you so much ... Tim and Kim
