Arrangements

A visitation will be held at Hill Funeral Home, Westerville Ohio from 1:00p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday January 5th, 2022, with a memorial service immediately following at 2:00 p.m.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Joe's sons and family. We met Joe over 30 years ago through the door industry, Havard and Joe served on the IDA Board and we have fond memories of those trips as well as the EXPOS. Joe always made you feel welcomed and had a live your life to the fullest attitude. When we talked about our children, his face and eyes would light up as he spoke of them and their accomplishments. We feel very blessed to call Joe a friend and he will be missed greatly.

Obituary for Joseph Earwood

Joseph Earwood 1956-2021

Joseph Earwood

08/25/1956 - 12/29/2021

Joseph Alan Earwood was born August 25th, 1956, in Rome, Georgia to parents Alan and Peggy. Joseph is survived by his three sons, Dallas, Drue, and Derek, and his two sisters Cindy and Shelly.

Joe began his career in the garage door industry at a young age. He started as an installer and worked his way through the ranks holding different positions in sales, management, and engineering. He ultimately was named the National Sales and Marketing Manager for Napoleon Spring works and held that position until the end of his career.

He loved all things fast and flashy. He was known for his love of cars, specifically corvettes, motorcycles, and fancy watches, among other things. He was always ready to give someone a ride or show them a good time because he loved people and making them smile. Everyone always said Joe had the biggest heart, and that’s most likely because he had so many friends who loved him so much. I don’t think anyone would argue that he lived life to the fullest. He will be truly missed by so many.
