Family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, at the Hill Funeral Home, 220 S. State St., Westerville, OH where a service will follow at 2:00 p.m.

I enjoyed knowing your Mother through Claremont and our Impact group. I often drove her to church services. She was always so beautifully dressed. I’m sorry I couldn’t attend her service but I was out of the country and just returned.
My sympathies are with you at the loss of your mother.

Barbara Girvin, 93, passed away Friday, October 15. Barbara was born in Dorchester, MA on March 2, 1928 to the late Barnett and Bessie Holmes.
 
     She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, sister and two husbands, Arden Smith (1949) and Nile Girvin (2009).  She is survived by two daughters, Ardith (Richard) Kleindienst, Riverside, CA and Tracey (Walker) Powell, Westerville, OH, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
 
     Barbara’s family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, at the Hill Funeral Home, 220 S. State St., Westerville, OH where a service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Barbara’s family would like to invite other family members and friends to attend a casual Celebration of Life after the service at a to-be-announced location where dinner will be served.
