Arrangements

A mass will be held Friday, September 24, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 East Dublin-Granville Rd, New Albany, OH 43054.  Visitation will be held at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.  Burial will take place immediately following the mass at the Resurrection Cemetery.

Charles Robert 'Bob' Wetta

Charles “Bob” Wetta, age 90, of Galena, Ohio passed away on September 18, 2021.  He was born October 26, 1930, in Portsmouth, Ohio to Charles and Dorothy Wetta who proceeded him in death, as well as his sister Joanne and brother Dave.   Bob is survived by his sister Becky (Scottie) Thomas, of Franklin, NC.  He graduated from Saint Marys High School and served in the Army during the Korean war.  Bob retired from Jess Howard Electric Co. where he was an Electrician for 28 years.

 

Bob is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen of 62 years, 4 children:  Steve (Janet) Wetta of Westerville, OH, Joan (Dave Bergman) Wetta-Bergman of Jacksonville, NC, Bill (Lisa) Wetta of Westerville, OH, and Jim Wetta of Galena, OH.  7 Grandchildren:  Andy (Ashlee) Wetta of Silver Spring, MD, Matt Wetta of Los Angeles, CA, Tim Wetta of Cincinnati, OH, Tyler Wetta of New Albany, OH, Luke Wetta of Columbus, OH, Kaitlyn Wetta of Westerville, OH, and Claire Wetta of Westerville, OH.  Great-Grandchildren:  Owen Wetta and Chloe Wetta, of Silver Spring, MD. and preceded in death by a granddaughter Stephanie Lynn Wetta.
