Obituary for Barbara J. Edison

Barbara J. Edison 1933-2021

Barbara J. Edison

06/03/1933 - 05/24/2021

Barbara June Edison was born June 3, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, to Emma Kroll and William Bolek, and died May 24, 2021 in Westerville, Ohio. She is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years, Ron Edison, their 5 children, Ron Jr. (Chris) Edison, Terri (Larry) Jacobson, Tammi (Mark) Baden, Robyn (James) Baden, and Mark (Val) Edison, twenty grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Barbara was an avid reader, loved solving difficult crossword puzzles, and had a passion for nature - especially animals. Through her considerable cooking skills she fed the hearts and souls of many. As a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, she cooked and served meals for Faith Mission, prepared funeral meals, sang in the church choir, and took part in many other church events until her declining health eventually kept her at home. Barbara immensely enjoyed traveling, especially to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the mountains of Tennessee, and the North Carolina beaches.

We deeply miss her lively sense of humor, her enthusiasm for life, and her indomitable spirit. Wife, mother, and friend Barbara left a light in this world that will shine on in our hearts.
