Johnathan Wayne Cole (40), of Gahanna, went to be with Jesus, March 5th, 2021.

John unexpectedly passed away at Mt. Carmel St. Ann’s in Westerville, Ohio, with loving family at the bedside. 


Born October 27th, 1980 in Columbus, Ohio; John was the youngest of four boys. 

John was preceded in death by grandparents Lauris C Cole, Leah D (Roe) Cole, Claude D Fuller, Jackie J (Watts) Fuller, and brother Thomas D Cole. 


John is survived by his son Cyrus (Cole) Frye, mother Stephanie L (Fuller) Cole, father James T Cole, brothers James C Cole (Michelle L Cole) and Steven R Cole (Randy), uncle Steven S Fuller, and many nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved dog Faith.


John graduated from Big Walnut H.S. in 1999. After high school, John started his own painting company "Cole's Quality Painting''. He was a Master Mason with Blendon Lodge in Westerville. He had a great love and respect for the Native American culture, and participated in powwows and Native American Dances. He enjoyed ancient world history and had a love for genealogy that he inherited from his grandmother Jackie. He also enjoyed fishing with his dad and brothers, baseball, and of course the Bengals football team.
