It was hard not to admire Mrs. Fuller. She was charismatic, elegant and charming. Such a lovely person. Her daughters brought many boys to her house, and Mrs. F. would sit them down, feed them, and make them feel welcome! I was one and was lucky enough to share some time in that kitchen. I remember those days with a great fondness.
RIP Mrs. Fuller. You made a difference.

Obituary for JoAnne Fuller

JoAnne Fuller 1931-2021

JoAnne Fuller

11/05/1931 - 01/18/2021

A loving and faithful servant of the Lord, JoAnne Fuller, longtime resident of Westerville Ohio, went home to be with her Lord on January 18, 2021, at the age of 89.  Funeral Services are entrusted to Hill Funeral Home, Westerville, Ohio and her Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church located in Westerville, Ohio on January 22nd at 10:30 a.m. with internment following at Blendon Central Cemetery.

Born on November 5th, 1931, in  Arlington Heights, Illinois, JoAnne was a very spiritual and devoted wife, and loving mother of 7 children.  Since 1959, she was a member of Saint Paul's Catholic Church in Westerville.  JoAnne had a magnetic personality and a wonderful sense of humor.

JoAnne loved baseball, especially listening to the “Big Red Machine” and Marty and Joe on Cincinnati Reds Radio. It wasn’t a summer evening if you didn’t retire after hearing the famous Joe Nuxhall signing off with “This is the Old Left Hander rounding 3rd and heading for Home”.  JoAnne loved her bowling leagues, her bridge and euchre card clubs and all of her wonderful card-playing friends she met over the years. Most importantly, she adored spending time with her family, her many grandchildren and all of her loved ones. The absolute least that one could say is that Mom to her children and friend to many will be sorely missed, always loved and cherished, and forever remembered as one of the most faithful, loving, and beautiful persons that God has ever created.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her loving husband, William (Bill) Fuller.  JoAnne and Bill met while in high school in DeKalb, Illinois, fell in love and became “One” in Holy Matrimony on January 6, 1951. The two of them joyfully began to build and raise a family of seven children that they adored. That family of seven children  grew into  what now is a beautiful legacy of 21 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren. Sadly, JoAnne lost her lifelong soulmate on March 8, 2013.

JoAnne was also preceded in death by her beautiful and beloved daughter, Julie (Foust).  Julie was a beautiful daughter and a gift from God whom everyone loved.  After a nearly lifelong battle with Diabetes, Julie went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2015.

JoAnne’s immediate family who have preceded her in death are as follows:  her parents: George and Manda Plesa; her brothers Nicklaus, Paul, and Michael Plesa; her sisters Ann Pooler and Katherine (Lefty) Matekaitis; her nephews and nieces Bob Pooler, Gary Pooler, Jeffrey Matekaitis, Eileen Plesa, and Mike Pooler.

JoAnne is survived by immediate family members as follows: her sister Mary Saunders; her children Gail Fleming, Lori (Larry) Everhart, Joni Fuller, Gina (Domenic) Massari, Bill (Chris) Fuller, and John (Melissa) Fuller; her Grandchildren Randy (Jenny) Orr [Gail’s Children], Adam (Amie) Foust, Branden Foust [Julie’s Children], Ross (Amy) Hall, Blair Everhart, Amber (fiancé Joey Kulp) Everhart [Lori’s Children], Ryan Ison, Kaitlyn (Zach) Hill, Devin  (Jessa) Ison [Joni’s Children], Laine (Eric) Franklin, Rachel Hurst, Tylor Hurst, Amanda Hurst [Gina’s Children], Patrick (Telisa) Fuller, Vincent (fiancé Briana Braver), Alex (Shelly) Fuller,  Noelle (Bo) Giffin, Macey Fuller, Luke Fuller, Adrienne Fuller [Bill’s Children], and Kira Fuller [John’s Child]; her Great Grandchildren Sam, Grace, Josh and Nick Orr [Gail’s Grandchildren]; Oliver and Owen Foust [Julie’s Grandchildren]; Wyatt, Penny, and Violet Hall [Lori’s Grandchildren]; Logan Ison, Jaime, Juliette, Emilee and William Hill [Joni’s Grandchildren]; Nikita and Brayden Franklin and Rylee Hurst [Gina’s Grandchildren]; Natalie, Landon, Cristian, Graham, Lindy, Gia, Josie, Kivah and August Fuller [Bill’s Grandchildren].

JoAnne would want us to give her heartfelt love and appreciation to all of the medical professionals, neighbors (who selflessly mowed her lawn and shoveled snow) and her very special friends that helped her maintain wellness and health throughout the years, especially her personal physician, Larry Everhart, who was incredible to JoAnne during her journey to eternity.

Lastly, it would be remiss if JoAnne were not to leave all of you loved ones with the greatest “life’s journey message” that she would want to share with you…

To My Dearest Family and Friends,

Please pray the Rosary every day, for this is not where your journey ends.  I love you all and I will see you again.

Love,  JoAnne
