Janis was born September 23, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John and Cecilia Szabo. Janis is survived by her children, Bradley, Patrick, Julie (Michael), Penny, Dominic and Andrew. Grandchildren, Katie Phillips (Ryan) and Sarah Billiar. Great grandchild, Samantha Phillips.Sister, Geri Hamai (Richard).
Janis was an accomplished artist and a member of the Red Hats Society.She attended Kent State University and graduated from Ohio Dominican College.
In Lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Franklin County Humane Society.
