Condolences

Condolence From: Christi Davis, Jenks, Ok
Condolence: We are very sorry for the delay in our message. We didn't know of Helga's passing. Our family loved her and we are so very sorry for your loss. The time our family was able to spend with her while we were neighbors and during our visits to Ohio after we moved away will always be treasured. She always treated our son as another of her grandchildren. Your family is in our prayers.

Condolence From: Michele Bondurant, Columbus, OH
Condolence: Ms. Helga sold me her home in Forest Hills. I fell in love with her from the first time we met. She told me stories about Mr. Waldrop and we even discovered that we had common acquaintances. I could tell this was a home built on love, and was so fortunate to have met her in the process of finding one for my family.

My sincere condolences to her family and my neighbors that loved her dearly.

Condolence From: Regina Malley, Columbus, OH
Condolence: I knew Helga and Harold while they worked for McDonalds in Worthington. They made such a positive impression on my kindergarten students especially at Christmas. They provided a breakfast with Santa feast and their generous nature was a frequent highlight. After Harold passed and Helga retired, she became a circle of grand parents volunteer. She visited my classroom monthly and we co-taught the character traits such as respect, responsibility, trustworthiness and diligence. Helga went to COG Meetings monthly to get ideas and books to share and of course she always brought a treat. Sometimes an apple or homemade baked good that she and her companion Lowell made/picked together. Lowell even taught the children about farming and they provided the seeds for our growing units. I was so happy that Helga had found love again and knew that Harold would not want her generous heart to be alone. I am saddened by the loss of Helga and wish her family, friends and especially Lowell peace in their hurting hearts.
I’ll never forget the story of the raccoon that entered the house when Harold and Helga went to be with Sharon after her accident. And I know no one felt worse than Lowell did after their accident. God is ever faithful and provides to those alone or are hurting.
