David Robert Henshaw, age 58, passed away on November 28, 2020 due to complications arising from COVID.
Dave was born in Columbus, OH and grew up in Bexley, OH. He remained in Central Ohio for his entire life, settling in Westerville with his wife and children. Dave was a kind and caring man who was a devoted husband and father. Active in his community, Dave was always willing to share his time with others. He was a Boy Scout leader for several years and loved to go on camping trips with his boys. He was an active member of Heritage Christian Church where he was part of the Usher Team as well as a member of the Benevolence Team and was a representative of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Dave was a graduate of Bexley High School and Ohio University. His education led to a career in accounting and fiscal management. He recently retired as a Fiscal Services Specialist from META Solutions. His caring nature carried over to a love of animals which in turn led to his raising rabbits, racing pigeons and chickens and the rescue/adoption of dogs and cats. He and his family enjoyed many vacations to Grand Lake, Michigan where they could enjoy the serenity of the lake as well as the rural surroundings. Dave enjoyed gardening and cultivated his best crops this past summer. Bountiful crops allowed him to enjoy his hobby of pickling and canning which he gifted to many friends and family members.
Dave is survived by his wife of 25 years, Julie and his sons, Matthew and Adam. He is also survived by his parents Robert and Martha Henshaw, brother Mark Henshaw and sister-in-law Valerie Henshaw, nephew Jarred Henshaw, nieces Rachel Henshaw and Erika Kronenberg and her husband Kyle Kronenberg, great nephews Jace and Jack Kronenberg as well as many cousins and second cousins.
