NO EXCEPTIONS. Only thirty registered people will be permitted in the building at a time. This is necessary to protect the family, our staff and everyone wishing to attend. I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr Kukor. He was beloved by our family for the many years he cared for our pets and when he retired we were happy for him--- but sad for ourselves. Special hug for Carol-- as we came to know her at Hilliard Vet too. Godspeed Dr Kukor

Dr. George A Kukor, 90, of Westerville, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Michael and Mary Kukor, February 4, 1930. George graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Ohio State University in 1957. He founded and then operated Hilliard Veterinary Hospital until he retired in 2006. He was active in The Neumann Club and Omego Tau Sigma Veterinary Fraternity while at OSU. He was President of the Columbus Academy of Veterinary Medicine in 1963. Founding member of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association newsletter in 1973 and a wrote a column until 2011, the same year he was named Veterinarian of the Year by OVMA. Other philanthropic causes include Syntaxis Homes for Youth, Columbus Pilot Dogs, Columbus Area Humane Society and the Columbus Power Squadron.

His love for fishing took him from Canada to Florida and as far as Venezuela. George loved gardening and bird watching. He really loved Ohio State Buckeyes football. He was a devoted father and grandfather and friend to so many.

Preceded in death by his college sweetheart and mother of his 6 children, Mary Catherine (Callaway) Kukor. Also, his sister Barbara Feeney of Oregon.

Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 29 years, Diana (Dunn) Kukor. Also survived by sons: Richard and wife Kathy of NC and children Barbara and Kelsey; David Kukor and wife Amy of Hilliard and children Rilynn and Dawson. Survived by daughters: Kate Stine and husband Tom of FL; Linda and husband Brian Ranft of PA, children Tyler, Natalie and Stephanie; Becky and husband Paul Schlimm of IL, children Katie, Emily and Paul Michael; Carol and husband Kenny Otto of Pataskala, children Karlee and Lauryn; Stepson Geoff Hetrick of Westerville and stepdaughter Jenni Hetrick and her daughter Lily of CA; and 2 great grandsons. Also survived by his sister Theresa Walker and many nieces and nephews.
