Obituary for Ronald Kirk Hasson

Ronald Kirk Hasson, age 83, of Gahanna, Ohio, went to live with the Lord on October 12, 2020 after courageously battling bladder cancer.

He was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 22, 1937 to the late Kirk Q Hasson and Elizabeth Frances (Reed) Hasson. He is preceded in death by his wife Donna Jean (Cascioli) Hasson, Son-in-law Joseph (Ted) Chapman, granddaughter Kristyn Chapman, and great-grandson Joshua Williams.

He married his high school sweetheart Donna Jean Cascioli and together they raised four daughters. Deborah Hasson, Cheryl King, Vicki Durbin, and Julie Chapman. Ronald worked for Ross Laboratories after high school until Anheuser-Busch opened in Columbus, Ohio in 1969 until retirement in1998. He was an active member of the Alpha Club in Gahanna, Ohio, and a member of the Moose Club. He enjoyed car shows and collecting historical cars.

Ronald is survived by his daughters; Deborah Hasson of Gahanna, Ohio, Cheryl King (William Mowery) of Sunbury, Ohio; Vicki (Gary) Durbin of Gahanna, Ohio; Julie Chapman of Westerville, Ohio. His grandchildren Stephanie (Eric) Thomas, Jennifer Keenan; Craig Fischer: Andrea (Laura) Clark; Brandon Brehm; Amanda (Subhi) Saleh: Jeffrey Palestrant: and Joseph (Joey) Chapman. As well as his great-grandchildren Samantha Keenan; Justin Fischer; Blake Fischer; Isabelle (Izzy) Williams; Jacob (Jake) Williams; Carter Fischer; Chloe Chapman-Linkous: and Aleah Saleh.

A special thank you to the Ohio Health Hospice team, and Paramount Senior Living in Westerville for caring, loving, and supporting our Father and family through his battle. We will be forever grateful.  

Family will receive friends Friday, October 16, 2020 at HILL FUNERAL HOME, Westerville. IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING CALLING HOURS: Due to Covid 19, EVERYONE wishing to attend calling hours MUST call HILL FUNERAL HOME at 614-882-2121 between 8:30 am and 5 pm to reserve one of the 30 minute time slots starting at 1 pm until 2:30 pm Friday, October 16, 2020. Followed by private memorial service at 2:30 pm. NO EXCEPTIONS. Only thirty registered people will be permitted in the building at a time. This is necessary to protect the family, our staff and everyone wishing to attend. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
