Peter Armstrong

Peter Joseph Armstrong, 76, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, May 30th. He was born on June 8, 1943 to George and Pauline (Corbett) Armstrong in Columbus, Ohio and is one of ten children. He is also a graduate of Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in downtown Columbus and attended the Ohio State University.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Michael, his sister, Kathleen Barrett and infant grandson, Henry Armstrong Dwyer.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sue (Bishop) Armstrong, his children, Julia (Rick) Hilyard and Karen (Phil) Dwyer, his grandchildren, Catherine Hilyard, Philp Dwyer III and Lauren Dwyer, his sisters, Sister Angelica Armstrong O.P., Eileen (Dwight) Strawser, Mary (Ron) Hooker, Judy Armstrong, Janet Armstrong, Jeanne (Bob) Campbell and Carrie Brandel, as well as, several nieces and nephews.
Pete enjoyed the simple things in life, including home remodeling projects, folk music and always being in the company of his family and friends. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, 'papa', brother, son, uncle and friend. We love you dearly - you are forever in our hearts.
Mass of Christian burial will take place at
11:00 A.M., Thursday June 4, 2020 at
St. Paul Catholic Church, 313 N. State St., Westerville.
