Obituary for Mable Clellen

Mable Clellen 1927-2019

Mable Clellen

11/30/1927 - 06/18/2019

Mable Bell Mobley Clellen went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the age of 91.

Mable is predeceased by her husband Jerry Clellen. Brothers, Talmadge, Dearl, John, Karl, Ralph Mobley, and her sisters Glenna Phillips and Drusie Scott.

Mable is lovingly remembered by her son Tom Clellen and his wife Kim Clellen, her grandchildren Ashley (Clellen) Staropoli, husband Vinnie Staropoli, Brooke (Clellen) Melrose, husband Luke Melrose, her great grandchildren Angelina, Gabriella, Maria, Paxton, Beau and Maren Belle, Stepdaughter Loree Cox and step-grandsons Kealey and Kelsey Scott, wife Diana and great granddaughter Emma. As well as her sisters, June Shartzer, Linda Webb, and brother Charlie Mobley and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mable was born in Carter County, Kentucky on November 30, 1927. She graduated from Olive Hill High School and went on to earn her teaching degree at Morehead Teaching College. Mable moved to Central Ohio and pursued a successful real estate career. She became a top selling Realtor and a multiple recipient of the Million Dollar Club. Mable was a 40-year member of the Columbus Board of Realtors and she finally retired in 2013. She was also a devout church goer and board member and Sunday School teacher at Sharon Woods Baptist Church.

Mable enjoyed spending time with her family, attending church, and taking her grandchildren shopping.  She was generous, vibrant, and full of wisdom. Mable was an avid student of the Bible, and always loved reading scripture. She lived a long and successful life surrounded by the people she cared for and loved. As the lyrics state, “When we all get to heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be, when we all see Jesus we'll sing and shout the victory!” We are assured Mable is singing, rejoicing, and dancing at home with the Lord and those loved ones she has missed!
