Condolence: Michael Tighe was a wonderful man and always smiling. I knew every time I saw him I could speak and he would always gladly ,and humbly speak back.
I'm going to miss his happy soul.
RIP Michael Tighe Until we meet again my brother.

Condolence: Dearest Andrea,
At the hardest of times I ask myself if I could be as strong as Horatio Spafford who sat on a ship in the Atlantic ocean over the remains of Ville du Haure, where his precious 4 girls passed, and pinned the words to ‘It is well with my soul.’ The sting of this loss is so deep. Love and God’s grace be with you every minute of every day. Randy (Dr. Mills) & I worked with Michael. First as the unit clerk, then PCA, in the ICU. . He rode the thermometer poles down the hall like a skateboard. He FOUND joy in every task. I remember when Alex was born and Michael had found out about the ‘overnight 12 hour dry Huggies diapers’. He had worked out a cost analysis to show that using 2 of these pricy diapers a day was still a better deal than the other leading brand, and a time saver. We just never always knew when he was serious! I visited Michael’s awesometighe.com last week. I got chills, just seeing how this young silly boy grew into such a Man in love with his family, nature, pets, stillness. You, Andrea, and your boys completed him. I cannot comprehend that he is gone yet. I am comforted to see that he was not missing a day of really Living Life and being an example to so many. Grieve, but stay connected to that Joy and Love that remains with you. Your memories, your future, and your precious boys.
Peace be with you

Condolence: I don’t know how many times you will read and have heard how wonderful and amazing a man, husband, father, son, nurse, friend, etc Michael was. Because it was true. But it doesn’t stop the hurt. It doesn’t fill the empty. But, I saw many times Michael reach out to help those who thought they could not be helped. He will, of course, do the same for you, his beloved family.

Condolence: I send out my deepest condolences to Michael's family. I was very lucky to call Michael my friend and co-worker for nine years. We worked together on tower 8 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center East Hospital. Michael was even kind enough to donate his vacation time to me when I was battling breast cancer; we even got to compare stories when he was faced with his own fight with cancer. Michael was always a great story teller even when he talked about unfamiliar topics, like technology. You could always count on Michael to have the latest and greatest gadget. Once he even showed me his heart rate on his apple watch after he completed a CPR class. And if the floor needed a pick me up he would tell us his stories about Africa and we would laugh with him (and a little bit at him). He loved sharing pictures of his family and telling me about his cub scout adventures. Michael was a very special man. He will be greatly missed.
