Obituary for Susan Denise Tippett

Susan Denise Tippett of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.  Susan was born in Buckland, Ohio on January 13, 1952.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosemary (Martin) Tippett and her father, Dale M. Tippett.  She is survived by her sister, Nanette T. Meo (John, spouse) of Herndon, Virginia and her brother, G. Kevin Gage-Tippett (Rich, spouse) of Jupiter, Florida.

 

Susan graduated from Eastland Vocational Center in 1970 where she studied the printing trade.  She pursued her career at The Ohio State University for 37 years and was an avid fan of the Buckeyes Football Team.  Susan loved to bake and delighted her family and friends with her special treats every Christmas season.  She greatly enjoyed reading, gardening and researching her family history.  After retirement, Susan became a devoted practitioner of Tai Chi. Susan was kind, thoughtful and knew no strangers.  She will be greatly missed.

 

From early childhood Susan had a deep love for cats and shared her life with several fur babies over the years.  The family is deeply grateful to Columbus Humane for their recent assistance with Susan’s beloved cats.  Friends may make memorial contributions to this worthy cause on their website, www.columbushumane.org.
