Obituary for Ruth Foley-Johnson

Ruth Foley-Johnson 1931-2019

Ruth Foley-Johnson

11/29/1931 - 01/21/2019

Ruth S. Foley Johnson, age 87 of Westerville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, peacefully surrounded by her family, January 21, 2019. Ruth will be greatly missed by her loving family and many wonderful friends. She enjoyed the simple pleasures: spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, cooking and enjoying a great meal, and sharing a laugh or joke with others. She was an animal lover with a soft-spot for cats. She had impeccable taste in fashion and design and was always seen wearing the perfect outfit.

Ruth was born in New York on November 29, 1931 to the late Carl A. and Bertha M. (Herold) Bennett. She is preceded in death by husbands Dennis J. Foley and Ted R. Johnson and brother Richard Bennett. Ruth is survived by children: Carole (John) Winkel, Donna Foley Yinger and Dennis (Lisa) Foley. Grandchildren: Joseph (Julie) and Patrick (Katie) Winkel, Liza (Kevin) Mayer, Katelyn Yinger, and Olivia and Reese Foley. Great-grandchildren: Noah, Finn, Lennon, Boyd, Henry and Stella. Sister-in-law: Maria Bennett. Ex-son-in-law: Clint Yinger and many nieces and nephews.

The family is very thankful for the loving care provided by: Visiting Angels, Mt. Carmel Hospice, and special friends: Jan and Jim, Ellen and Tommy, Ann, and Sandy.
