Shirley was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, at 10:30a.m. with the Father Lonzo officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday 9:30-10:30a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 313 N. State Street, Westerville, OH. Private family Interment will take place at Blendon Central Cemetery later that day.
LeeAnn and family I am so sorry for the loss of ur mother. I will keep the family close in prayer now and in the coming fdays.

Shirley A. Havener, 82, of Gahanna, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at 4:30p.m. at St. Ann’s Hospital.

Shirley was born, May 2, 1936 in Marblehead, Ohio, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Madeline(Ontko) Ringholz.

Shirley married Charles G Havener on August 31, 1957 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 2003. Shirley is survived by sons, C. Dave (Nancy) Havener of Sidney, Dan (Mary) Havener of Grove City and LeeAnn Havener of Gahanna. Also survived by five grandchildren, Jodi Medlin, Nicole (Jeremy) Adams, Brittney Havener, Brian Havener, Emily Havener, and two great grandchildren, Haylie and Liam Medlin. One sibling survives, Jerry (Sheila) Ringholz of Sandusky and sister and brother in law, Robert and Mary Lou Zibert of Port Clinton. She was preceded in death by brother in law, Lefty Havener and grandson-in-law Robert Medlin.

Shirley earned her Bachelors degree in Nursing from Mercy College of Ohio. Shirley worked in the field of nursing for 52 years and had retired from the private practice of Dr. Mary Beth Mudd in 2009.
