Our loving sister Marjorie Alice Lane died unexpectedly on June 28, 2018 in Columbus OH. Born in Ashtabula OH on March 1, 1955 to the late Roy and Sylvia (Johnson) Lane. She is survived by her sister, Janet Baird of Louisville KY, brothers, Richard (Irene) and Terry (Julie) of Columbus OH and Daniel of Bakersfield CA. Although not having children of her own, she loved and bonded with her nieces and nephews: Robin, David, and Michael (Marybeth) Baird, Keri (Michael) Allen, Julie (Shawn) Bowers, Solomon (Amy) Lane, Rocky (Kristina) Lane, Faith (Scott) Adkins, Sarah (Michael) Rudell, Mark (Lyndsey) Lane, Garrison Lane, and Aubrey (Evan) Perschon and their children, Joel and Justin Bohrer, Bret and Brooke Baird, Aleksey Baird, Kamryn Lane, Parker and Kayden Lane, Sebastian Adkins, Carter and Harper Lane, and soon to be born Ridley Quinn Allen.

As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Marjorie was dedicated to sharing her hope for a future resurrection to life in a righteous new order wherein sickness and death will be no more. . She learned sign language and had attended the American Sign Language Congregation, assisting the audibly challenged. Marjorie enjoyed associating with her many friends in the Sharon Woods Congregation in addition to traveling to Bible -based Conventions in various locations, she looked forward on several occasions with others of like faith in vacationing with friends of like faith and family at beach settings along North Carolina,USA She attended an International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Greece.

Marjorie graduated from Ashtabula Ohio High School, where she contributed articles to the school yearbook. She briefly lived in Bakersfield California before moving on to Westerville Ohio. Marjorie was employed by  for J.P. Morgan Chase of Columbus for many years, at the same time providing care for her Christian Mother. Most recently she was employed by Safelite Auto Glass in Worthington Ohio.

Margie was known for a witty sense of humor and creativity. Not bringing attention to herself, she usually stood in the background. She loved sharing, especially the harvest from her garden. We will miss her baked goods and secret recipe for home-made crab cakes!  Marjorie also enjoyed drawing murals, usually of animals and creation. She will be missed by family and friends as well as the pets she treated as family. Indeed, Marjorie lane was a member of Jehovah’s great army

Marjorie often spoke of a time when sickness and death would be a thing of the past.
