Obituary for Peggy Miller

Peggy Miller 1928-2018

Peggy Miller

11/01/1928 - 04/04/2018

Our loving mother, Peggy Louise Miller, age 89 of Westerville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday April 4, 2018, of natural causes. She was born to the late Ronald F Siegrist and Mary Kathryn Siegrist on November 1, 1928. Peggy was first in her family to be born in a hospital. Peggy attended Linden High School, in Columbus, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated second in her class. She married Donald George Miller Dec 28, 1947 on her parents 20th wedding anniversary. She attended Ohio State University until 1948, when she took time out to raise her three sons. She eventually completed her Art degree in 1974. She was a lifelong member of Central College Presbyterian Church. She was an active member and served in many capacities over the years. Dancing and Art were Peggy’s passion and delight. Peggy loved to dance from her teen years, and started drawing when she was still in middle school. She carried both loves throughout her life, dancing into her 80’s, until her partners were finally too old to move. She was a prolific painter and she and Don would often take her paintings to craft fairs where they would set up a booth and sell a few in order to fund more canvas and paint! She devoted most of her life to raising her children and enjoying her grandchildren. Following Don’s passing in 1984, she traveled and was active in her church. Peggy is survived by her children Paul, Jim and Jeff, brother Carl Siegrist, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, April 20, in the Chapel at Central College Church,
