Kenneth Alan Smalley, age 62 of Sunbury, Ohio passed away at home on Monday, February 26, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Columbus, Ohio, attended elementary school in Worthington, Jr. High and High schools in Columbus, graduating from Northland High School, Class of ’73. He attended The Ohio State University where he was in the marching band in 1974 and 1975. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Franklin University. He worked for Parker Hannifin for the last 29 years as Manager of IT. Ken attended Westerville Christian Church for 25 years. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Smalley. Survived by his wife of 41 years, Jayne (Hoggatt) Smalley; Children: Kristin (Jeremy) Netting, Kimberly (Paul) Barker, Kurt (Becca) Smalley and Kari (Aaron) Rogers, 10 grandchildren, his mother, Shirley Smalley, sister Lorrie (Ron) Cunningham, Brother, Jeff (Kathy) Smalley, In-laws Charles and Phyllis Hoggatt and nephews and nieces. Visitation will be Friday, March 2 from 5-7 pm, and Saturday, March 3 from 10 am-noon. Memorial service immediately following Saturday’s visitation at Sunbury Christian Church, 870 Admiral Dr., Sunbury, Ohio 43074.
