A service in Celebration of his Life will be held February 13 at 11 a.m. at Church of the Master, 24 N. Grove St. Westerville, Ohio with internment following the service at the Otterbein Cemetery

Ed was truly a wonderful and caring man. It was an honor to call him my friend. He will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Edwin L. Billman, age 81 of Naples, Florida formerly of Upper Arlington, Ohio passed away February 3, 2018. Born in Westerville, Ohio he is Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Grange Insurance. Retired after 35 years as Vice President of Banc One Corporation which merged with JP Morgan Chase. Worked for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company as a lineman, telephone installer, engineer and Marketing consultant. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara L. Billman, son Mark E. Billman and wife, Jackie Billman, Westerville, Ohio, daughter, Kimberly A. Cerino, Tampa, Florida; Grandchildren, Angela Cerino Knott and husband, Jeremy of Tampa, Florida, Kristy Billman Paul and husband Tim W. Paul of Fishers, Indiana, Brian M. Billman and fiancée, Rachel Hammer of Arlington, Virginia; great granddaughter, Harper Grace Knott, and two step grandchildren, Bailee and Logan Paul, and brother, H. Neal Billman of Boca Grand, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brother, Robert E. Billman of Dallas, Texas and his sister in law, Kay A. Billman. He served in the USAF on active duty during the Berlin Crisis. He was honored in the 1965 Outstanding Men of America as a role model with his accomplishments in the Marketing Field. He was past President of the Columbus Building Owners and Managers Association, President of Brookside Country Club, Worthington, Ohio And Board member of the Royal Poinciana Golf Club in Naples, Florida. Former member of the Columbus Athletic Club and the Young Business Men’s Club of Columbus. A founding member of the Franklin County Financial Reward Program (Public Eyes) and installed in the Alumni Hall of Fame at Westerville South High School, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and a Board member of the Columbus Taxi Board. A life long member of the Church of the Master in Westerville, Ohio. He lived a full life; he was a good husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His concern and caring for his family and friends was an outstanding characteristic throughout his lifetime. He thoroughly enjoyed time with his friends fishing, playing golf and drinking Merlot.
