Obituary for Sue Torgerson

Eleanor ‘Sue’ Torgerson (nee Easter). Born in Pickaway county April 23, 1929 to James Allen Easter and Hazel Amy Dewey Easter. Preceded in death by brothers Paul, Jack, Gerald and Ronald and sisters Kathleen, Doris and Jane. She is survived by sister Nancy George. She is also survived by children Jeff (Sandra) Torgerson, Amy (Bruce) Bennett, Steven (Lisa) Torgerson and David Togerson; grandchildren Angela, Adam, Kelly, Colleen and Olivia and greatgrandchildren: Spencer, Addison, Elena, David, Cyrus, Micah, Abigail and Isabella. She will also be missed by her special dogs Murphee and Winston.

She worked as a librarian in Southwestern City Schools at JC Sommer Elementary, and at the Grove City Public Library. On retirement she worked as receptionist for Center for Surgical Dermatology. She was a long time member of Grove City Church of Christ which she helped to start with her husband of 51 years, Herman Theodore Torgerson.

Calling hours 5:30 to 7:00 Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Hill Funeral Home 220 South State Street Westerville followed immediately by a 7:00 memorial service with private interment to follow at a later time. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations to Alzheimer’s Association at 1379 Dublin Road Columbus, Ohio 43215.
