On May 8, 1946, a Nuptial High Mass was held in St. Mary Catholic Church solemnized the marriage of Miss Lena Nicolosi and Casper A. Tinnerello; thereafter, they resided in Columbus, Ohio. Lena worked as a Department Manager for Lazarus. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In May, 1990, Lena travelled to Medjugorje a town in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A Catholic pilgrimage since the Virgin Mary appeared on Apparition Hill in 1981. One sign that is always spoken about when discussing Medjugorje is about pilgrims’ rosaries turning gold. A multitude of people have claimed this miracle has happened to them. Many people believe it is a gift from God and Our Lady and that there are many different reasons for receiving this gift. It could be to strengthen their faith, to thank them for coming to Medjugorje, or a sign that their prayers have been answered. Lena received this gift. Friends are invited to call at 1:00 in the Chapel of Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 North High Street, Lewis Center, Ohio on October 16, 2017. A Mass of Christian burial will be held following visitation at 1:30. The family expresses their appreciation to the staff of Country View of Sunbury for their loving care, kindness, and dedication to our mother.
