Obituary for Ann Phelps

Ann Louise Harlamert Phelps, 77, from Westerville, Ohio; passed peacefully on January 20, 2017. Ann was born on October 15, 1939 in Cleveland Ohio.  She was a graduate of Bay Village High School and earned an Associate’s Degree from University of Toledo. Ann was a homemaker for her husband and 2 sons in between being employed as an X-Ray Technician for several companies in northwest and central Ohio. She was actively involved in Cub Scouts of America for her 2 sons as a Den Leader and supported them in their endeavors in the Boy Scouts of America. Proud supporter of her sons’ high school athletic events and husband’s Boy Scouts of America activities. Member of the Auxiliary of Professional Engineers and held several offices including President. Member of Central College Presbyterian Church and active in the Chancel Choir. Active member of Westerville Promenaders, Harmony BDB, and Motivators square dance clubs.  Attended several dance conventions and workshops throughout the USA.  Honor Couple for Western Square Dancing of Central Ohio representing the Westerville Promenadors in 2005. Recently spent winters in Mesa, Arizona to continue square and round dancing. Other interests included: bowling, sewing, and card playing. Preceded in Death by her parents, Paul A Harlamert Sr and Bertha F Harlamert. Survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert E Phelps; children, David R Phelps (Lisa A) and Richard R Phelps (Jennifer J); grandchildren Ryan T Phelps, Eric A Phelps, and Adam M Phelps; and brother Paul A Harlamert Jr (Janet W). Family will receive Friends and Relatives on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 4pm to 7pm at Hill Funeral Home in Westerville, Ohio. Memorial Service Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 10am at Hill Funeral Home in Westerville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research or Ohio Living Home, Health & Hospice
