I knew Tim through the antique jewelry trade and learned so much from him, not just about jewelry, but about courage, optimism, and compassion. He died way too young . My deepest sympathy to his wife, children and mother.

Obituary for Tim Jacobs

Tim Jacobs 1956-2022

Tim Jacobs

03/09/1956 - 06/19/2022

Tim Jacobs, 66, beloved husband, father, friend, son, brother/brother-in-law and uncle passed away on June 19th, 2022 after a short unexpected illness.

Tim was born in Marion, IN to Durand and Lenore Jacobs. He graduated from Brecksville  High School in the Cleveland area and attended Michigan State University. He moved to Gahanna in 1980 and adored this community.

Tim's loving wife, Peggy (née Horne), beloved daughter Jessica and son, James; his mother Lenore (Durand) Jacobs, sister Beth (Steve) Gillispie, extended family, neighbors and friends mourn his loss.

Tim was a respected salesman, an advocate for individuals with disabilities and an active member of the antiquing community. He loved the water, the Cleveland Guardians (Indians), Buckeye football, adventures with friends and family, card games, golf and understanding the histories of old objects which made antique hunting  one of his lifelong adventures. In addition to running his own small business, Tim worked for HER Realty, Quaker Homes, Dominion Homes and CV Perry. He was a certified care provider for handicapped individuals for Franklin County.  Shortly before his passing, Tim celebrated with Peggy their 42nd wedding anniversary.  His love of stories, his kindness and caring, his incredible intelligence and wit will be greatly missed. The world is a smaller place without Tim in it.
