 All are welcome to attend a prayer service December 9 at HILL FUNERAL HOME 220 S. State St. Westerville, Ohio 43081 at 3pm after which friends may call 4-6:30pm followed by eulogies. The family has requested masks be worn during calling hours.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Neuman Church at 9am December 10 with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. 

So sorry for your loss. Some club members and I were talking about Jake and you recently. Remembering good times. Not sure if I have his quote on the monument exactly.

Jacob W. Schneider Jr., age 89, passed away at his home on December 7, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.  Jacob was born on April 14, 1932 in Columbus to Jacob and Helen (Snow) Schneider Sr.  He graduated in 1949 from St. Thomas Aquinas High School, after which he worked alongside his father in the family plumbing business. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954.  He retired from the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 189 in 1993 after 40 years of service.  Jacob was an avid Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.  He was active in scouting, serving as Cub and Boy Scout Leader.  He also enjoyed coaching the "Jake's Girls" women's softball team.  He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Helen (McLean) and his five children: Timothy of California, Mark (Barb) of Richwood, Kathleen (Ronald) Searles of Reynoldsburg, Jacob W. III (Lynne) of Columbus and Karen (Kevin) Searles of Reynoldsburg, as well as his seven grandchildren: Ryan, CJ, Avery and Elise Schneider, Megan (Jason) Hughes, Adam (Sarah) Searles and Emily (Shawn) Smith-Davis, and his three great grandsons: Bennett and Declan Hughes and Aiden Searles, and many nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Edward and Frank Schneider.
