Richard Hoskins Obituary - Hill Funeral Home

Arrangements

Friends may call 3 to 4 PM, Friday, December 3, 2021 at HILL FUNERAL HOME where services will be held at 4 PM Friday.

Richard Hoskins was my uncle. I have good memories of going to Uncle Dick and Aunt Kate’s house as a child and getting together at Mamaw’s and Papaw’s house. Yes, Uncle Dick always had something clever to say, I always looked forward to his humorous outlook. He and Aunt Kate reached out to help my mom after dad died. I remember his VW bug, and when he used to run, until his knees gave him trouble. I saw him at the high school as a teacher. I remember visiting his workshop and the stained glass angels we got and shared with our friends. And then the stories of he and Kate’s trips. I’m thankful I had Uncle Dick throughout my life to serve as a good example of how to live a full and good life. He is greatly missed.
