Arnold Edmond Witt, age 76, of Westerville Ohio, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021.

Arnold was born May 2, 1945 in Portage, Columbia, Wisconsin to Fred and Elma (Day) Witt. He grew up on a farm in Rudolph, Wisconsin with his seven bothers and sisters. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1963 and enlisted in the Navy that same year. Arnold served on the USS Waldron (DD699) out of Norfolk, Virginia until 1967. In July 1966, he married his first wife, Charlotte Chopper, and had two beautiful daughters. In July of 1982 he married his second wife Nancy Pavelec. He began his career with Caterpillar Incorporated which allowed him to travel the world for 40 years. Arnold had a love for woodworking and enjoyed sharing his artwork with his family. When he wasn’t woodworking, you would find him outdoors either gardening, feeding birds or trapshooting. Arnold was an amazing husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be truly missed by all.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Elma Witt; Sister-in-law, Terri Witt; Brother-in-law, Roger Nuber. Survived by Wife, Nancy Witt of Westerville, Ohio; Daughters Kathy (Brett) Merrick of Pickerington, Ohio; Shari (Chris) Rohr of Fishers, Indiana; Step-Sons Jeff (Debbie) Pavelec of Edwardsville, Illinois; Adam Pavelec of Cleveland, Ohio; Grandsons Nathan (Sarah) Rohr of Westfield, Indiana; Ryan Merrick of Pickerington, Ohio; Granddaughters Ashley Rohr of Fishers, Indiana; Jessica Merrick of Lexington, Kentucky; Step-granddaughter Brianna Pavelec of Columbus, Ohio; Great-granddaughters Emilee Rohr and baby Rohr on the way; Brothers Ron (Sandy) Witt of Butternut, Wisconsin; Keith (Jill) Witt of Rudolph, Wisconsin; Tom (Debbie) Witt of Nekoosa, Wisconsin; David (Darla) Witt of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; Sisters Bonnie Nuber of Vesper, Wisconsin; Linda (Dan) Whitrock of Wausau, Wisconsin; Susan (Dave) Long of Wausau, Wisconsin. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with service from 11:00-11:30 a.m. at Hill Funeral Home, 220 S. State Street, Westerville, Ohio 43081. A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon at Kingwood Memorial Park, 8230 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, Ohio, 43035.
