Condolence From: Sandy Skarl, Westerville, OH
Condolence: Last time I saw Jeff he was with his family several years ago volunteering with Salvation Army ringing the bell for donations at Kroger in Westerville…I dropped money in the kettle and thanked the family for being there and then realized it was an old high school friend and his family. That pretty much sums it up…what a nice guy and wonderful family!! I was shocked to hear the news about Jeff. I read many of the comments left here about Jeff from other people..he left the world in a better place and had a positive impact on everyone. I am so very sorry for you loss. I will say a prayer for your family. God bless you all!!

Condolence: Oh Jeff, you were such a goofball and brought a light-hearted attitude to an often stressful environment! Your fist bumps to my team and oh my goodness - your facial expressions, priceless!! Especially the one you would give when someone came up to whine about something trivial always brought a smile to my face!

You showed your teams that by just doing what we already know is the right thing to do, there was no issue worth ruining your day. You really were like a team dad. You brought your boys to the office in your heart and conversations, and made your work kids feel respected. I’m thankful I was part of your Chase family Jeff.

Condolence: Michelle,
I have tried to write this 10 times. I cannot. As I said, there are no words. I love you and the boys. We have always been close cousins, even though we haven't gotten to spend much time together. Just know, you will be in my heart and mind forever, as you always are.

Jeff, I know you are listening - thank you for being THE best man anyone could ever be as a husband, son and father. Your legacy will live forever. You are loved and missed by so many.

Condolence: Michele, Maddox, and Mason,
I am so sorry to hear of Jeff's passing. As many others have said, he was such a great man. He had so much love for his family and was so proud of his boys. Take comfort in the positive impact he had on so many people.
Almost 15 years ago Jeff took a chance and hired me on at Chase, marking a drastic shift in my career at that point. I was immediately in awe of his charisma, and how he always kept a positive attitude even in the face of adversity. He always wanted to see those who worked with him succeed and would help in any way he could. He was a great mentor, and I wouldn't be where I'm at today without him. He will always live on in our hearts and in our lives.

Condolence: Michelle and family our hearts are broken beyond words for you. We will never forget you and Jeff for opening your home and hearts to us. From our very first time we met to loving open arms of warm bears hugs over the years. Such a small world. As my brother Ed and Shelly's Czerniak daughter Adison went to school with your boys. Shelly also knew Jeff through work. We all are grieving for you. Jeff's huge smile, loving heart and laughter will be forever etched upon our souls. Lifting you in prayer that God may surround you with the love of family, and support of friends to carry you in the days ahead. Please let Darlene and family know they are in my thoughts and prayers. Condolence From: Dan Garrick, Columbus, OH
Condolence: To the Rickens family and friends

On behalf of the students, faculty, administration, alumni, and parents of Saint Francis DeSales High School please accept our deepest condolences for the passing of this beautiful soul. To all who were blessed to interact with Jeff Rickens his priorities were immediately clear. Jeff personified what it meant to love your family, love your friends, and most importantly be an authentic servant leader. He was indeed a model Patriarch for his beloved sons Mason and Maddox in that he taught them how to care deeply and to truly live one's faith through your actions. That is why they are remarkable leaders.

Both Saint Paul School and Saint Francis DeSales High School have been positively impacted by the Rickens family and for that we are grateful to Jeff and his soulmate Michelle. During this time of grief please know that both Saint Paul and SFD hold you in our prayers. May Christ's abundant love and the warmth of your memories lift you during these difficult days.

The greatest legacy that a person can leave is found through the deep love of family and friends. There is absolutely no question that Jeff Rickens' legacy will live on through those who loved him dearly. Eternal rest be granted to him O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him.

Peace and God's Blessings
Dan Garrick

Condolence: Rickens family,
You have my sincerest condolences on your loss. Jeff was a good leader and friend. He was one of the first people I saw in the morning when I came to work. We sat in the same row at Huntington. He was always kind and welcoming and ready to have a good day. He was one of the reasons why I wanted to work in the mortgage department. I will miss his voice and his quick remarks when there was something funny to say. This is a terrible loss and something that will take time to heal from. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
All the best, Paul Kelley
