Virginia “Ginny” Lea Tucker, 87, died Monday, July 19, 2021 at Heartland/ProMedica in Westerville. In hospice care for two weeks prior to her death, Virginia died peacefully in her sleep.

She leaves her son Mitch (Kari) Tucker of New Albany, OH, daughter Lyn (Gary) Romano of Westerville, OH, son Scott (Deborah) Tucker of Dayton, TN and son Marty (Carolyn) Tucker of Crossville, TN. Grandchildren: Antonio (Kristie) Romano of Glen Dale WV, Andrea (Bud, fiancé) Romano Smith of Newark, OH, Alex (Caitlyn) Romano, of Reynoldsburg, OH, Matthew (Madeline) Tucker of Lakewood, OH, Wyatt (Laura, fiancé) Tucker of Nashville, TN, Lauren (Nathan) Mullins of Clayton, NC, Brett Tucker of Dayton, TN, Kyle (Emily) Ward of Crossville, TN, Megan Ward of Crossville, TN, Evan Ward of Crossville, TN, Brianna Tucker of Crossville, TN , ten Great-Grandchildren. and sister Ruth ( Rollie) Captain of Appleton, WI.

She was preceded in death by longtime friend, Johnnie Simpson, and former husband Carl R. Tucker of Sparta, TN in 2018. Brother Conrad (Arlene) Ehlers of Menasha, WI 2006, Granddaughter Angela Romano, 1979 and Grandson Andrew Romano, 1994.

Born in Grand Island, Nebraska November 15, 1933 to Lelah Viola, and Paul Ehlers. She moved to Oshkosh, WI where she spent many years and worked for Miles Kimball Corporation. Her family moved to Westerville, OH in 1969 where she was a resident for over 50 years before her passing. Virginia worked for Sanese Services, Columbus, OH until she retired in 1997. After retirement she lovingly volunteered as a Foster Grandparent, helping children with reading, at Par Excellence Academy, Newark, OH and received a Volunteer of the Year Award from the State of Ohio.

Ginny enjoyed Ohio State Buckeyes and Green Bay Packers Football, coloring, scrapbooking, photo albums, gospel music and travel to visit family in Tennessee and Wisconsin. She was a devoted Christian and lived her faith every day. She attended Darbydale Church of the Nazarene while living in Grove City, and First Baptist Church while she lived in Heath. Her passion was her family and she never missed a birthday, event, or a chance to talk about her children and grandchildren.
