Obituary for Sally Florence Storts

Sally Florence Storts 1955-2021

Sally Florence Storts

07/14/1955 - 07/08/2021

Our dear mother, grandmother, and sister was reunited with her parents, Ray and Josephine Storts on July 8, a few short days before her birthday.

Sally was a strong person-she enjoyed many adventures and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

She believed she had the best job ever while she drove a tour bus for Lakefront Lines. She traveled from coast to coast visiting historic sites along the highway and those in out-of-the way locations. She visited many colleges and slept in numerous dorms while her high school passengers enjoyed multi day visits to the campus. As part of those adventures they camped in National Parks. She loved driving active military personnel to their training sites or their next assignments within the United States. And she had untold enjoyment getting Senior Citizens to their outings at the Casinos. Whenever possible Sally would take her family members on these outings; something they deeply cherish. She visited all 48 contiguous states but never gave up her desire to see Alaska and Hawaii. When she was bored she would say, “Let’s go somewhere” and into the car everyone went.

Left with many happy memories for a life well lived are her two daughters: Ruth E. Freeman and Robin E. Freeman (Harold Upchurch). She also survived by grandchildren Raymond L. White, Jr., Robert E.E.Freeman, Josephine L. Coburn, Sally M. Shortridge and Nicholas Butler. She has three great grandchildren: Josh Callihan, Damien and Kalena Johnson.

Sally is survived by her siblings, Sheila J. Fujii and Danny R. Storts (Sharon) and her 4 nephews: Stephen P. Fujii (Jennifer), Michael R. Storts, Johnathan R. Storts and Eric B. Storts. Also surviving is her former husband, Joseph A. Dillon.

In early childhood, growing up in Powell, Ohio, Sally developed a deep love for all animals. Her current household included four fury family members: her dog, Cali and her three cats, Charcoal, Baby Girl and Kibi.

Sally’s door was always open and all who entered her home were treated as family. Sally, we love you to the moon and back.

Memorial contributions may be given in Sally’s memory to the Humane Society of Delaware County & Spay Neuter Clinic—4920 SR-37 E. Delaware, Ohio 43015
