 Family will receive friends Monday, June 14, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm at HILL FUNERAL HOME, Westerville. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Tuesday at St Paul Catholic Church, Westerville.

Charles Allen Berns, of Galena Ohio, aged 67 passed away Thursday June 10, 2021 peacefully at his home surrounded by family.He fought long and hard and was truly at peace at the end.

Charles was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1953. He was a devoted husband of 46 years to his loving wife Delores (“Dee”), and truly a one-of-kind father to his daughter, Danielle and son, Joshua. He loved Ohio State Football, his Cleveland Indians, Cavs and Browns. But what gave him his greatest joy, were his 3 grandsons, Cohen, Wesley and Reid. He has joined his late father, Maurice, mother Jane, brothers Ralph and Richard, sister Charlotte, father-in-law Orville, mother-in-law, Elizabeth, brothers-in-law Bill and Butch, and sister-in-law, Siggi. He is survived by his wife Delores (“Dee”), his daughter Danielle (son-in-law, Brian), his son, Joshua (daughter-in-law, Elizabeth), grandchildren Cohen, Wesley and Reid, his brother Maurice (“Morry”), sisters-in-law, Faye, Eva, Trish and Margret, brother-in-law, Danny and countless, cousins, nieces, nephews and his friends.

He was parishioner of St. Paul in Westerville, Ohio for 30 years and served as an usher for nearly 20. Charles was the living definition of love, faith, happiness, family and friendship.
