Condolences

Condolence From: Thomas Seelbach, Columbus, OH
Condolence: About 1958-1960 it was, Connie was our favorite babysitter. I remember she read Highlights for Children to my two older siblings and myself. We lived at the opposite end of DeSantis Dr. and also enjoyed Carol and Margie as babysitters and "preschool" teachers. Teaching us "Little Sally Saucer", "Going on a Lion Hunt" and "Who Stole the Cookies From the Cookie Jar?"
and making bracelets out of clovers. After all these years, I still recognized her photo. Sorry for the Davis and Sauter family loss.

Condolence From: Linda Foeller Sivinski, Fort Mill, SC
Condolence: "Miss Davis" was my most memorable teacher, one of her 5th graders at St. Michaels, the year JFK was shot. Her smile was ever ready and gosh, she was just fun! I had the pleasure of running into her MANY years later when she was substituting at St. Michaels when my children attended; she made my day by sharing the fact that she still had some paper or art work from when I was in her class! The personification of class and kindness, what a role model for us all. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Condolence: Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. I worked with John at BancOhio/National City for 20 years and always admired Connie and her family. One memory that stands out is the weekend we spent together at Notre Dame for one of the famous football games between ND and OSU. We were there representing a scholarship and were treated to a wonderful time together.

Condolence From: Patty and John Haskins, Dublin, OH
Condolence: Connie was truly an amazing person. She led a life full of love and compassion for all. She had the most warm and welcoming smile and the kind, friendly heart and spirit to match. I was blessed to be in her extended family of nieces and nephews, and was wrapped in the warm embrace of many fun outings at the Sauter home. These are memories that will be cherished forever. We send our love and deepest sympathies to the entire Sauter Family on this tragic loss of their beloved Mother and Grandmother. We know they are comforted that Connie is now joined in Heaven with John and her many treasured family and friends who had passed before her. The legacy of love, caring, kindness and compassion that Connie and John created proudly lives on in all of them.

Condolence: I remember Connie's infectious smile. We go back many years from studying principles of education at college to sharing the birth of Connie's girls- Kathy and Theresa -with our kids - Matt and Nancy - all born during the same time period. We enjoyed getting together with John and Connie and their kids, and our kids, and other friends at Christmas and see each of our families growing up. Our memories will always be cherished.

Condolence From: Barbara Kurz, Rock Hill, SC
Condolence: I have been thinking about all the good times that Connie and I had growing up in Columbus -- going to kindergarten together, playing dolls, playing house, doing plays in the Davis' garage, playing in the Davis's rec room, playing in the snow, sleepovers, making fudge and many, many more. Good memories. I am thankful for a good friendship over many years.

I'm sorry that Connie has passed from time to eternity, but give thanks that she is at peace and in our heavenly home.

Love to all of Connie's family.

Condolence From: Karen Kress, Sunbury, Ohio
Condolence: I never heard the story of how Connie came to be known as Sparky. But she certainly had a spark in her smile and her step. Without a doubt, she was one of the kindest souls I ever met. She had a kind word to say to everyone she met and she made every person she spoke to feel like the most important person in the room. My life was enriched having known her. She showed her faith by example and will think of her often in the years ahead. Her presence blessed me.
