James H. Clark of Westerville, Ohio passed away on October 15, 2020 at the age of 94. Since late 2013, he had been a resident of Parkside Senior Living Community. He was a friend to all and thoroughly enjoyed his time there. Prior to Westerville, he was a long-term resident of Avon Lake, Ohio.

Shortly after graduation, he was drafted and served as an Army sergeant in the European theatre during World War II. In 1948, he married his beloved wife of more than 60 years, Jerri (Geraldine Cline). He graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in chemical engineering and later received his MBA from Case Western Reserve University. He worked over twenty-five years at Heil Process Equipment Corporation where he designed and held 17 patents on chemical resistant air pollution equipment. He later co-founded the Clark-Norton Company in Lakewood, Ohio where he enjoyed working until his late 70’s

Over his lifetime, he enjoyed a multitude of activities including tennis, golf, sailing, travel, visiting the family farms, volunteering and teaching bible study at his church, and building with Habitat for Humanity. Music was a very important part of his life. He played the harmonica, banjo, guitar, and loved the time he spent participating in barbershop choruses. Most recently, he was a member of The Capital City Barbershop Chorus in Central Ohio. His chorus friends were like a second family to him. After retirement, he particularly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jim was predeceased by his wife, parents and his sisters; Nancy Lizotte and Susan Noyer.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Anna Nedolast) Clark, Robert (Michelle Kreager) Clark and Carol (William) Carpenter, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
